Aloha Business Association Board Meeting April 2, 2015
Board Members present: Sally Fabre, Mike Holcomb, Karen Bolin Called to order at 8:40am
Karen Bolin moved to donate $50 to Providence in honor of Tammy Springer, seconded by Sally Fabre
Meetings/Programs – Karen Bolin went over speakers and topics lined up so far this year.
April: PGE, Shane Ramsay from Portland Metro Radio and the Reserve Vineyard and Golf Club’s Lucas Miller.
May: Not doing Round Robin this May. Kody Harris is going to ask ABC vision, Wes Crocket and Gary Carlson to be Spotlight Speakers. 5 min for NW Earth Institute to present the Eco Challenge. Ken Yarnell or Aloha High School are guest speaker.

- July – Ceasefire Oregon Gun Policies for Businesses
Outreach: Karen Bolin. Donate $100 to the Aloha Little Warriors Pre-School to assist after the shed fire. Continuing to reaching out for restaurant guide and “Golden Rule”
- Social Hour 4:30-6pm, Do we want to partner with other organizations: WA County Forum, Schmidt & Yee, Carlson Law, Garden Club, or others?
- Location and Date Ideas: The Reserve May 15th, The Helvetia Winery June 19th, or July ?, August Cooper Mtn Winery, September Peppermill?,
Communication – Karen Bolin reported on the website being updated by Troy with Cedar House Media. Slow process, but launched. Kody Harris and Michael Holcomb will continue to gather more media and photos.
Discussion on ABA Email: Agreed that there needs to be a firstname.lastname@example.org to respond to web inquiries and for Facebook responses. Michael Holcomb will reach out to Troy to complete this task.
Treasurer’s Report – Mike Holcomb provided a report with a 3/31/15 data. March Income was $300.00, March expenses were -$871.00 for a Net Loss of -$571.00. Audit still needs further discussion and to be pursued. $2,433.21 current account Balance.
Membership – Mike Holcomb. Kody Harris is sending 2nd Request for April renewal letters out this week. May renewals going out next week from Mike Holcomb. Correction to New Member form to say “One time listing…” was completed.
Farmers Market: Kody Harris. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Still working on Intel, Perhaps Mt Olivet parking lot. Inquiring with West Side and New Hope churches. Need ABA Card for Business
License $50. Kody will contact Mike Holcomb when ready to submit this payment. PGE to be invoiced for
$300 donation once the license is completed.
Homeplate Kickball Tournament-All members present agree to a consensus to participate if we are able to get sponsorship for the $1000 donation. Either 4 donations at $250 or 10 donations at $100. Team name, T.V. Hwy Rocks! Rock and Roll theme.
Beautification- Mike Holcomb shared this endeavor at the Aloha Reedville Community Council regarding the rail road clean up from 160th through 209th. Connections are being made and hope to have some dates and partnerships solidified by May meeting.
Market Goals From September 2011: We are on track for the 2018 goals. Meeting adjourned at 9:40AM.
